My name is Steven. I've always enjoyed taking pictures since I was a kid. I consider myself a hobbyist photographer. As I'm not retired, I try to work in photography when I can.
I moved to Florida in 2014 from Iowa with my wife, Nancy. Gave up the snow for the sunshine.
Photography allows me to capture moments in time and emotions. Black and White photography is where I really like to focus. There is just something about all of the negative and positive space you can see without the color. I enjoy focusing on old cars & trucks, landscapes and florals for subjects.
I draw inspiration from the beauty of nature, patterns, textures and shapes both man-made and natural, and objects that are often overlooked.
I'm a member of the Harrison Ranch Arts Guild, Parrish Arts Council, Colony Cove Art Club and Artist Guild of Anna Maria Island.
