My husband, Steven, and I moved to Florida in 2014 from Iowa.  His job gave us an opportunity to transfer to Florida and leave the snow behind ,so we did.  Currently, we reside in Bradenton, FL.  We enjoy traveling around the world.

Growing up I was always doing crafts with my mom and drawing.  Art and music were my favorites in high school.  I would draw the album covers from my moms collection which were portraits for the most part.  I find myself drawing more animals this last year and enjoying the process. 

 

It wasn’t until my move to Florida and the friends I met at the Harrison Ranch Arts Guild did I get back into the drawing and painting.  I had been doing mostly greeting cards and scrapbooking the last few years.  In 2015 I picked up a paint brush again and started working art projects in my free time.  I prefer to work with colored pencil and watercolor now.  My inspirations are often memories of where we've traveled and our experiences.   Whether I'm drawing or painting, it is my form of relaxation and enjoyment.

I am also an avid sports fan.  Love my St. Cardinals, Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings.
